Germantown
Germantown was Nashville’s first residential subdivision and it borders the northern edge of downtown. While the 1950s saw much of Germantown give way to industrial zoning and warehouses, Germantown experienced a rebirth in the 1970s and significant redevelopment starting in the late 1990s. Today, Germantown features residential options ranging from early 1900s victorian homes to new loft-condos and townhomes.
